Mr. Black is a Texas-licensed attorney and Certified Professional Landman with over 15 years of experience in the energy industry. He provides legal counsel, strategic land management, and contract negotiation services to operators, mineral owners, and stakeholders across the oil and gas sector.

His career spans leadership roles, in-house counsel positions, and field operations, giving him a comprehensive understanding of both legal strategy and practical application. He has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, negotiated complex agreements, and advised on a broad range of matters including production sharing, lease disputes, regulatory compliance, and surface use rights.

A graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law, Mr. Black earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude and was Salutatorian of his class. He has worked with major industry players such as SM Energy, XTO Energy, and Exxon Mobil, consistently delivering value by aligning legal insight with business objectives.

Mr. Black lives in Fort Worth with his wife, Elisha, and their two daughters, Avery and Ashton.
